About Krab

A street-facing workshop with a mechanic’s nickname on the door — still building and fixing bikes we would ride ourselves.

When we opened the first stand under the name “Krab”, we already knew what we wanted: do bikes properly, keep the work interesting, and stock brands that earn a place on the wall.

Krab Street Cycles is that shop grown up — custom builds, suspension specialists, bike fitting, and a parts floor on Korunní in Praha 2. We sell what we ride and service what we sell. That is still the whole idea.

Trail bikes, gravel rigs, e-MTBs, and city machines all come through the same door. Race support, weekend warriors, and daily riders share the same stands. If a component does not make sense for how people actually ride in and around Prague, it does not stay long on our shelves.

Why “Street”

Prague riding is rarely pure trail. Cobbles, tram tracks, river paths, then a weekend in the hills — our builds and setups respect that mix. Street is not a fashion tag; it is the surface most of our customers start on every morning.

The orange accents on the shop floor are deliberate: high-visibility cues in a charcoal workshop, the same contrast you want when you are sorting a night ride home through Vinohrady.

People on the floor

Invented crew, real roles — the faces you meet for sales, suspension, and fit.

Hynek “Krab” Novák

Founder · Suspension

The nickname that stuck. Leads fork and shock work, keeps Abbey Tools and Andreani kit humming, and still rides enduro on weeknights.

Jana Veselá

Shop lead · Builds

Specs complete bikes and custom builds. Gravel and bikepacking specialist — if it needs bag mounts and tyre volume, ask Jana.

Tomáš Richter

Fit · Floor

Runs bike fitting sessions and helps size riders on the floor. Commutes daily on everything from road to sharp trail bikes.
